We endeavour to provide a broad and balanced curriculum through Curriculum for Excellence. To find out more about Curriculum for Excellence please click here.

To view the topic cycle for each class please click here. We are flexible with our topic cycle however so that we can respond to the children's needs and interests and to events that may be taking place. A termly overview of the learning taking place in each class each term is also sent to parents at the start of each term.

Children can bring in a packed lunch or have a school meal. School meals are prepared and cooked in school and meet Orkney Islands Council's Nutritional standards. We also think they are delicious!

Meals cost £2 per day for children in P4 - 7 (they are free for pupils in P1 - 3). We prefer money to be sent in on Mondays if at all possible. Parents can also buy books of 10 tickets at a time (cost £20) and then tickets can be sent in with the children on the days that they are having school lunch. Alternatively parents may wish to pay for a term at a time. If you think your child may be eligible for free school meals please contact the school.

School uniform is optional, but most children wear school tops each day. They can be purchased through the Parent Council.
