Term 1, Autumn 2020

Here are some of the things we have been doing:

Exploring the properties of liquids in science.

Keyboards in music.

Practising throwing in PE.

Winter 2019

Primary Sevens lit the Christmas tree.

Lindsey from Orkney Native Wildlife Project came in to talk to us about the threat of stoats.

We identified the scat of some of the animals.

We made posters about the Aztecs, after researching.

Autumn 2019

This is all the grammar that we've been learning.

We've been learning about non-renewable and renewable energy.

We've been doing tennis in PE.

We did yoga for a warm up in PE.

In Spanish we played a game.

We planted willows for the Nursery

In drama we've been writing Orcadian scripts


Summer term 2019

We have been practising for the Picnic

We have been making bread rolls whilst learning about micro organisms

P7 went to Lagganlia, with P7s from Hope, Burray and Papay Schools, and had a great time

building cubes

We were making cubes and strengthening the joints to hold it up.


Experimenting with parachutes

We did a science experiment with parachutes. We considered what the variables could be and what would be measured. Each group did their own experiment. (Excuse the pyjamas - this was Children in Need Day!)



Hoy Trip 2018

Lagganlia Trip

Two of the P7s had a great time in Lagganlia, joining in with other schools from Orkney.

Making our own instruments

We are combining our science, music and technology skills to make our own tuned musical instruments.
