Ever wondered what the staff do on inservice days? Today we did Philosophy for Children (P4C) training with Dounby School. We all felt it was a good day and are raring to go in both schools using the P4C techniques.
If you would like to know more about P4C please ask or visit www.sapere.org.uk. We may well do a session for any interested adults as well as doing it with the children.

We had fun making fruit salad. We all worked together to follow the recipe. Using the knives was tricky and we had to be careful. The older children helped the younger children and we all ate together.
Ian was the official taster!

This term our club is "Outdoor Adventure". The children have been enjoying making dens outside - thanks to the Parent Council again who bought the waterproofs and wellies for the children as it means that the children can get outside much more.

On Thursday 7th March a very strange bunch of characters came to school! We all dressed up as book characters for the day. Everyone brought in books from home that they don't read any more and we all got to take some new books home to enjoy. In the afternoon we all played "Where's Wally?" (can you see Wally in the photo?) and then had a whole school game of hide and seek. The Selkies made their own book covers for imaginary books and the Seals drew themselves as book characters.
