The Selkies News

Japanese

We have been learning Japanese. Mike and Saki came in to talk to us about Japanese culture and teach us some of the language.

Emily came in and taught us some origami.

Emily taught us how to count in Japanese.

Dolphins and Porpoises

We have been learning about the differences between dolphins and porpoises. We had to make notes and then use them to create these posters. We also had to think about how we presented our work.

Artwork inspired by Dali

We have been looking at the work of Salvador Dali. We did our own artwork based on his painting of animals.

Technology Challenge

We had to work in groups to make a tower from art straws that would support a ball for at least 15 seconds.

Jingle Bells

We are practising for Christmas performances...

Relative size of the planets

We are learning about Space, and we used playdough to show the relative size of the planets. We invited the younger class in to see.

More handbells

Miss Clements was really impressed today - we played this! (This is only only our 3rd run through - we can sight read!)

Circuits

We have been making circuits, and we made some games for P1 - 3 to come and try.

We even made a trip wire that set off an alarm!

Handbells

We have been learning to play handbells - here we are in action!

Torches
