We have been using the new microscopes - they're great!

We added black silhouettes in the foreground.

New term

This term we are learning about animals.

More Japanese

Lawtie Sensei came in to do some more work with us as part of our Japanese topic. She taught us some songs, told us Japanese stories and did Akido dojo. We all really enjoyed it and it was a great end to the term.

Playing in the mud kitchen

We have had great fun playing in the mud kitchen!

Lava Lamps

We learned more about changing materials in science to create our own mini lava lamps!

Hoy Trip 2017

We had a great time in Hoy - coasteering, canoeing, archery, gorgewalking and much more! Here are some of the highlights...

St Magnus compositions

This term in music we have been thinking about our own composing skills, specifically how music can tell a story. We have also been improving our keyboard skills and learning to play chords. We are now putting this all together to create our own compositions to tell the story of St Magnus.

We have been learning Japanese. Mike and Saki came in to talk to us about Japanese culture and teach us some of the language.

Emily came in and taught us some origami.

Emily taught us how to count in Japanese.

Dolphins and Porpoises

We have been learning about the differences between dolphins and porpoises. We had to make notes and then use them to create these posters. We also had to think about how we presented our work.
